Bihar Election Results 2025: NDA, MGB Confident Ahead of Vote Counting
Bihar Election 2025 Results: Counting Day Tomorrow

Bihar Awaits Historic Verdict as Counting Day Approaches

The political fate of Bihar hangs in balance as the state prepares for the counting of votes on Thursday, November 14, 2025. Both the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the Mahagathbandhan (MGB) have expressed unwavering confidence about securing a clear victory in the closely watched assembly elections.

Record-Breaking Voter Participation Sets Stage

Bihar scripted electoral history on November 11 by achieving a remarkable 67.13 percent voter turnout, the highest recorded in the state since 1951 according to the Election Commission of India. The participation breakdown reveals an inspiring trend: while 62.98 percent of male voters cast their ballots, women voters dramatically outpaced them with an unprecedented 71.78 percent participation rate.

The electoral process concluded smoothly across all 90,740 polling booths in Bihar, with the Election Commission confirming that no discrepancies or malpractices were detected that would necessitate re-polling at any location.

Exit Polls Paint Conflicting Picture

Despite multiple exit polls predicting a comfortable victory for the NDA alliance, both political camps remain steadfast in their claims of impending success. Axis My India has projected the NDA to secure between 121 to 141 seats, while the MGB is predicted to win 98 to 118 seats in the 243-member assembly. The Jan Suraaj Party (JSP) is forecasted to secure 0 to 2 seats.

In a more dramatic prediction, Today's Chanakya has projected a massive victory for the BJP with 160 seats, leaving the RJD with 77 seats and other parties with six seats. Overall, nine different exit polls conducted on Tuesday have consistently projected the NDA to win approximately 147 seats.

Political Camps Remain Defiant Amid Predictions

The NDA constituents have already begun celebration preparations, with workers being spotted preparing sweets (ladoos) in Patna on Wednesday, indicating their confidence in the exit poll results. However, the Mahagathbandhan parties have outright rejected these projections, maintaining their own internal assessments point toward their victory.

Adding to the political drama, Jan Suraaj Party chief Prashant Kishor has dismissed the exit polls as "fake" and expressed confidence that Bihar is headed toward a historic political change. The contrasting reactions from all quarters have set the stage for a dramatic counting day that will determine the political landscape of Bihar for the coming years.

As the state holds its breath, election officials are making final preparations for the counting process that begins Thursday morning, with results expected to unfold throughout the day.
