Bihar Director General of Police (DGP) Vinay Kumar has personally overseen the security blueprint for counting day. The police force, supplemented by paramilitary units, has been deployed in substantial numbers at all counting centers throughout the state. Each facility housing electronic voting machines has been designated as a strongroom and is now under multiple layers of security.
Modern surveillance technology forms the backbone of the security apparatus.
