Congress Alleges Voter List Tampering, Warns of Jail

He stated that the party has completed micro-level booth planning across Maharashtra and conducted workshops to train workers on voter verification, objections, and the correction process.

Formation of Special Committee

Congress announced the formation of a special committee for the SIR campaign, headed by Satej Patil, with Abhijeet Sapkal serving as coordinator. The committee will oversee the party's efforts to ensure fair voter rolls.

Accusations Against BJP and Election Commission

Harshwardhan Sapkal alleged that the BJP came to power in Maharashtra through "vote theft" with the help of the Election Commission. He warned that those tampering with voter lists would "have to go to jail in the future."

Congress Attacks State Government

Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar attacked the state government over alleged corruption. He claimed that if impartial probes were conducted, several people linked to the government would land behind bars.
