Haryana Voter Rolls Revision: July 1 Key Date

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Electoral Officer A Sreenivas announced that the Election Commission of India is conducting a special summary revision campaign of electoral rolls across 16 states and three Union Territories in a phased manner. Under the third phase, July 1 has been fixed as the qualifying date for Haryana. Preparatory work, training, and printing activities for this campaign will be carried out from June 5 to June 14.

Current Voter Count and Booth Level Officers

The CEO informed that as of May 12, the total number of voters in Haryana stood at 2,06,63,155. For the special summary revision exercise, 20,629 booth level officers (BLOs) have been appointed across Haryana. These BLOs will conduct door-to-door verification and collect voters' information from June 15 to July 14. So far, 12,917 booth level agents have been appointed by various political parties.

Polling Station Rationalization and Draft Rolls

Sreenivas stated that the rationalization and reorganization of polling stations would be completed by July 14. The draft electoral rolls are scheduled to be published on July 21. Following this, claims and objections can be filed from July 21 to August 20. The CEO added that disposal of claims and objections will be undertaken from July 21 to September 18.

Final Electoral Roll Publication

After the special summary revision process, the final electoral roll will be published on September 22. This comprehensive exercise aims to ensure accurate and updated voter lists for Haryana.
