Left Student Unions Invite KTR to Round Table on NEET Leak

Hyderabad: Representatives from Left student unions met with BRS working president KT Rama Rao and invited him to attend a round table discussion in Hyderabad on May 20. The student leaders expressed their concern over the distress caused to millions of students and their parents across the country due to the recent leak of the prestigious NEET paper. They criticised the BJP government for the repeated leaks of various competitive exam papers. They highlighted the severe impact such irregularities have on society and conveyed their strong suspicions of support from central government officials behind these leaks.

Round Table to Safeguard Students' Futures

The Left student unions' Joint Action Committee, which includes AISF, SFI, PDSU, PDSU Vijrumbhana, GR PDSU, AIDSO, and AIFDS, is organising the round table meeting to safeguard students' futures and plan further actions against these irregularities. The delegation that met KTR included key student leaders such as Gyar Naresh from AISF, Kiran and Ashok Reddy from SFI, Podipongi Nagaraju and P Mahesh from PDSU, Dr S Nageshwar Rao and N Sumanth from GR PDSU, Alluri Vijay from PDSU (Vijrumbhana), along with Anil, Shiva, Palle Murali, Nithish, and Theegala Shyam.

Concerns Over Exam Integrity

The student leaders emphasised that the repeated leaks of competitive examination papers have eroded public trust in the system. They argued that such incidents disproportionately affect students from underprivileged backgrounds who cannot afford expensive coaching or alternative opportunities. The unions have called for a thorough investigation into the NEET paper leak and stringent action against those responsible. They also urged the government to implement robust measures to prevent future breaches.
