NDA's Bihar Triumph Sparks Political Firestorm

Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a blistering critique of Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party following the National Democratic Alliance's decisive victory in the Bihar assembly elections 2025. Speaking at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi on Friday, November 14, 2025, the Prime Minister didn't hold back his words as he analyzed the opposition's crushing defeat.

"Congress is Drowning Everyone": Modi's Sharp Attack

Addressing enthusiastic party workers amid loud chants of "Modi-Modi," the Prime Minister asserted that the Congress party lacks any positive vision for the country. "Some 'naamdars' within the party are drowning everyone with them," Modi stated, using his characteristic term for the Gandhi family without directly naming Rahul Gandhi.

The Prime Minister revealed that he had warned Congress's allies about the party becoming a liability for them. "Even the Congress allies are beginning to understand that the Congress is drowning everyone in its negative politics," Modi emphasized during his victory speech.

In a particularly vivid analogy, Modi referenced his earlier comments during the Bihar campaign: "That is why, during the Bihar elections, I said that the 'naamdar' of the Congress is practising to drown himself and others in the Bihar elections by taking a dip in the pond."

Congress Transformation and Internal Rift Prediction

Modi presented a stark assessment of the Congress party's declining fortunes, noting that the party hasn't returned to power in several states for decades and has won fewer seats in the last six assembly polls compared to its current MLA count.

The Prime Minister made a controversial characterization of the Congress party's current orientation: "Today, the Congress has become MMC- Muslim League Maoist Congress and the entire agenda of the Congress now revolves around this."

This transformation, according to Modi, is creating internal friction within the party. He predicted significant political developments ahead, stating that "within the Congress as well, a separate faction is emerging that is uncomfortable with this negative politics," suggesting an imminent split in the grand old party.

Beyond Bihar: Modi's Vision for Eastern States

While the immediate context was the Bihar victory, Modi's vision extended beyond the state's boundaries. He assured the people of Bihar that this assembly win marks the beginning of a new era and promised that the state would progress faster in the next five years.

The Prime Minister also expressed confidence about the BJP's prospects in the upcoming West Bengal elections, drawing a geographical connection: "Ganga flows through Bihar and reaches Bengal. Bihar has also paved the way for the BJP's victory in Bengal."

Modi concluded with a strong message for West Bengal, declaring: "Now, together with you, the BJP will uproot jungle raj from West Bengal as well," setting the stage for the next electoral battle in eastern India.

The celebration at BJP headquarters saw the presence of key party leaders including BJP President JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, all joining the Prime Minister in celebrating the significant political victory that has reshaped the political landscape of Bihar and potentially beyond.
