NDA Achieves Landmark Victory in Bihar Assembly Elections
The Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance has secured a commanding victory in the Bihar Assembly elections, marking a significant political triumph for the ruling coalition. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his first remarks following the electoral success, emphasized that the people of Bihar have voted decisively for a developed and prosperous state, rejecting what he termed as 'Jungle Raj' and 'Katta Sarkar' forever.
The MY Formula: Women and Youth Power
Prime Minister Modi highlighted that Bihar's electorate has introduced a new political formula - the MY formula representing Mahila and Yuva (Women and Youth). This emerging demographic force has played a crucial role in shaping the election outcome, signaling a shift toward progressive governance and development-oriented politics.
The electoral results demonstrate a clear mandate for the NDA alliance. The BJP itself was winning or leading on 90 seats, while Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's JD(U) secured approximately 84 seats. Together with their alliance partners, the NDA crossed the 200-seat mark in the 243-member assembly, achieving what PM Modi described as a "historical and unparalleled victory."
Decisive Mandate Against Opposition
The principal opposition party, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), faced a significant setback, managing to win or lead on only about 25 seats. The Mahagathbandhan alliance failed to make substantial inroads against the NDA's development agenda and governance record.
In his social media post on platform X, PM Modi expressed gratitude to the people of Bihar and praised NDA workers for their dedication. "Good governance has won. Development has won. Pro-people spirit has won. Social justice has won," the Prime Minister stated, acknowledging the collective effort that contributed to this massive victory.
Future Roadmap for Bihar's Progress
Looking ahead, PM Modi outlined the alliance's commitment to accelerating Bihar's development trajectory. The government plans to focus on three key areas:
- Enhanced infrastructure development across the state
- Preservation and promotion of Bihar's rich cultural heritage
- Creating abundant opportunities for youth and women empowerment
The Prime Minister specifically mentioned that the NDA will ensure Yuva Shakti and Nari Shakti get numerous opportunities to lead prosperous lives. He congratulated alliance partners including Chirag Paswan, Jitan Ram Manjhi, and Upendra Kushwaha for their contribution to this collective success.
PM Modi emphasized that the victory represents people's trust in the NDA's track record of all-round development and its vision to elevate Bihar to new heights. The mandate provides renewed strength to continue serving the people and working tirelessly for the state's progress, building on the foundation of good governance and development-oriented policies that have characterized the NDA's approach to Bihar's transformation.
