Jhansi: State Minister for Women Welfare, Child Development and Nutrition, Baby Rani Maurya, conducted a district-level review meeting at the Circuit House on Thursday to evaluate the progress of various government welfare and development schemes.
Jal Jeevan Mission Review
During the meeting, the minister assessed the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission and directed officials to ensure that water supply reaches every household connection. She also addressed persistent complaints of broken roads caused by pipeline installation under the scheme, which remain unrepaired at numerous locations. The minister instructed concerned agencies to restore roads damaged during pipeline works at the earliest. District Magistrate Gaurang Rathi assured that damaged roads would soon be made traffic-friendly after proper inspection and documentation.
ICDS Nutrition Campaign
Reviewing the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) nutrition campaign, the minister appreciated the improvement in the condition of 5,231 children out of 5,533 identified under Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) and Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM). She also instructed officials to complete all under-construction Anganwadi centres within the stipulated timeframe and maintain quality standards.
Ayushman Bharat and TB-Free Campaign
The minister expressed satisfaction over the district's performance under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, where over 5.11 lakh golden cards have been issued against a target of 5.90 lakh, and more than 96,000 beneficiaries have received treatment. She also praised efforts under the TB-free India campaign.
Distribution of Toolkits
During the meeting, the minister distributed toolkits and certificates to 15 women beneficiaries under the One District One Product training and toolkit scheme and extended her best wishes for their future.
