MCM Commissioner Pradeep Singh Cracks Down on Delays, Reviews Key Schemes
Manesar Commissioner Reviews Welfare Schemes, Warns Officials

In a decisive move to accelerate governance, Municipal Corporation of Manesar (MCM) Commissioner Pradeep Singh conducted a comprehensive review of key government welfare schemes, pending public complaints, and development projects on Monday. The commissioner issued a stern warning to officials against any delays in addressing public grievances and executing vital projects.

Strict Directives for Grievance Redressal and Scheme Delivery

During a high-level meeting with senior officials, Commissioner Singh mandated a time-bound disposal of all complaints received through public grievance portals. He announced that fortnightly review meetings with all department heads would now be held, with a laser focus on the status and resolution of pending public issues.

Emphasizing the critical importance of last-mile delivery, Singh instructed the City Project Officer (CPO) to guarantee that eligible beneficiaries are not denied benefits under any circumstances. In a significant clarification for street vendors, the commissioner stated that only those who have repaid loans taken under the central PM SVANidhi scheme would be permitted to operate in designated vending zones.

Progress Report on Key Welfare Initiatives

Officials provided detailed updates on the progress of several flagship schemes. CPO Mahendra Kumar informed that 373 applications have been received under the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi scheme, a Haryana government initiative designed to uplift the social and economic status of girls by providing financial assistance from birth to adulthood. Verification surveys for these applications are currently in progress.

Regarding the PM SVANidhi scheme, which offers collateral-free working capital loans to street vendors, officials reported that the initial target has been nearly met. Consequently, a revised target of 9,407 beneficiaries has been set. So far, applications from approximately 5,000 vendors have been received, with loans already disbursed to over 2,000 of them. Field teams are continuing their outreach efforts to achieve the expanded goal.

Status of Chief Minister's Announced Projects

The review also covered various projects announced by the Chief Minister. Officials confirmed that land for the new corporation office has been identified and transferred to MCM, with approval from headquarters awaited to initiate further action.

In Kasan village, the construction of a Primary Health Centre (PHC) is underway, coupled with efforts to ensure canal water supply for the area. For Nakhraula village, administrative approval has been granted for a proposed auditorium, and budget approval is now being sought to start construction.

Furthermore, plans are advancing for a stadium in Nawada village on a 5.5-acre plot. The designs for an accompanying all-weather swimming pool and an indoor stadium are in the final stages of being finalized.

The meeting underscored a clear shift towards accountability and expedited public service delivery in Manesar, with Commissioner Singh setting a new tone for administrative efficiency.
