AAP Kisan Wing Reviews Farmer Welfare Work in Punjab Meeting

Meeting Held to Assess Government Performance for Farmers

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Kisan Wing, Punjab, convened a meeting at Bachat Bhawan in Ludhiana on Tuesday to review the work done for the farming community during the four-and-a-half-year tenure of the Bhagwant Mann-led government. Leaders from across the state attended the gathering, which aimed to evaluate the impact of key initiatives on farmer welfare.

Leaders Highlight Key Achievements

Addressing the gathering, Mahinder Singh Sidhu, president of the AAP Kisan Wing, Punjab, and Gurjeet Singh Gill, secretary of the wing, stated that the meeting was called to assess the progress of farmer-centric schemes. They asserted that previous governments in Punjab had failed to genuinely support the farming community, but the current administration had undertaken works that made every farmer happy and prosperous.

Among the notable achievements cited were the supply of canal water directly to farmers' fields, which resulted in the saving of thousands of litres of diesel. Additionally, the leaders pointed out that power supply, which was earlier available only during night and caused immense hardship to farmers, was now being provided during daytime under the Mann government, resolving a long-standing issue.
