Police in Uttar Pradesh have swiftly arrested two individuals for allegedly attempting to illegally seize a valuable house in Lucknow belonging to the mentally ill daughter of a deceased Army officer. The accused reportedly exploited the woman's long-term stay in a rehabilitation centre due to schizophrenia to execute their plan with forged paperwork.

The police action was notably efficient, resulting in the restoration of the property to its rightful owner within a single day of the arrests.

Swift Justice and Ongoing Investigation
The prompt police intervention prevented a grave injustice. Within 24 hours of the arrests, possession of the Indira Nagar house was officially handed back to Anjana. "Legal action has been initiated against them for grabbing property using fake documents," confirmed SP Langhe. Police have stated that both accused are in custody and that a further investigation is currently underway to uncover any additional details or potential accomplices in the attempted property fraud. The case highlights concerns over the targeting of vulnerable individuals, especially those with mental health conditions, in real estate scams.
