Police Investigation

Greater Noida Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including attempted murder and causing grievous hurt. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Rajesh Kumar said, 'We are investigating the motive behind the attack. Preliminary inquiries suggest the accused was under mental stress, but we are also looking into his medical history for any underlying psychiatric issues.'

Police have recorded statements from neighbors and family members. A relative said, 'Rohan was always a quiet boy, but recently he had become irritable and withdrawn. We never thought he would do something like this.'

Neighbor Accounts

Neighbors expressed shock at the incident. 'We heard screams and saw the boy jump. It was horrifying. The mother is a kind lady; we pray for her recovery,' said a neighbor who wished to remain anonymous.

The apartment complex has been cordoned off, and forensic teams are collecting evidence. The knife used in the attack has been recovered from the scene.
