Ahmedabad Hit-and-Run Tragedy: Man Killed, Wife Injured on Balolnagar Bridge
A devastating hit-and-run accident on the Balolnagar bridge in Ahmedabad has resulted in the death of a 35-year-old man and left his wife hospitalized with serious injuries. According to the police complaint filed by Chetan Vachheta, the victim's cousin, Kishan Vachheta and his wife Komal were traveling on a two-wheeler from Balolnagar via New Ranip towards Chandkheda. A speeding four-wheeler reportedly struck them from behind with tremendous force before fleeing the scene without stopping to render assistance.
The impact was so severe that it threw Kishan off the bridge, causing catastrophic head and body injuries. Komal sustained significant injuries to her waist and multiple other parts of her body. Both victims were immediately transported to Civil Hospital by 108 ambulance services, where medical professionals worked tirelessly to save them.
Aftermath and Police Investigation
Tragically, doctors declared Kishan Vachheta dead in the early hours of Saturday morning. His wife Komal remains hospitalized, receiving treatment for her injuries. The couple leaves behind a five-year-old son who now faces an uncertain future without his father.
In a chilling twist to the incident, an unknown caller later contacted Chetan Vachheta from Kishan's mobile phone to report the crash, though the caller's identity and connection to the accident remain unclear.

Authorities have filed charges under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
