Two Killed in Alwar SUV Crash During Alleged Abduction Over Love Marriage
A tragic incident unfolded in Alwar district on Friday, resulting in two fatalities and one serious injury when a speeding SUV overturned near Jayagaon under the Rajgarh police station. The accident, which occurred around 1pm, has been linked by police to an alleged abduction stemming from a love marriage dispute that has been simmering for months.
Sequence of Events Leading to Fatal Crash
According to police reports, the sequence began when Vivek Gurjar (28), a resident of Khedli Chandawat village, was traveling on his motorcycle towards Butoli. His journey was abruptly interrupted when an SUV rammed into his two-wheeler, throwing him off the vehicle. In a shocking turn, two men from the SUV then forced Vivek inside the vehicle and sped away at high speed.
The situation escalated rapidly as the SUV overturned near Naya Gaon Machadi shortly after the abduction. The crash proved fatal for two individuals: Ramphool Gurjar (50) and the vehicle's driver, Rajendra Prasad Chaudhary (50). Vivek sustained serious injuries in the incident and is currently receiving medical attention.
Background of Love Marriage Dispute
Police investigations have revealed that Vivek had entered into a love marriage with a woman approximately three months ago, a union that occurred against the explicit wishes of her family members. Since the marriage, both families have been embroiled in ongoing conflicts, with each side issuing claims and counterclaims against the other.
The tension between the families appears to have culminated in Friday's violent episode, though police emphasize that the exact motivations and circumstances surrounding the alleged abduction remain under investigation.
Police Investigation and Current Status
Authorities have confirmed that post-mortem examinations for both deceased individuals have been completed. However, a significant hurdle has emerged in the investigation: neither family impacted by the accident has filed an official police complaint regarding the incident.
This lack of formal complaints has created a procedural challenge for law enforcement officials. Police have stated that further action in the case remains pending until at least one party comes forward with an official complaint, leaving many questions unanswered about the precise sequence of events and legal accountability.
The Alwar district police continue to monitor the situation closely while urging those with information or grievances to come forward through proper channels to facilitate a thorough investigation into this tragic event that has left two families grieving and a community in shock.
