Officials from the Shahjahanpur Police Station confirmed that the crude explosive device was hurled down onto the moving auto-rickshaw. The impact and subsequent explosion caused severe injuries to Rajib. He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, but medical professionals declared him dead upon arrival.
