Tragic Accident Claims Life of Bengaluru Bank Employee During Lunch Break
A routine lunch break turned into a devastating tragedy for a young bank employee in Bengaluru on Monday afternoon. Yogeshwari, a 27-year-old resident of Kempegowda Layout in Laggere, was fatally struck by a speeding motorcycle while crossing Dr Rajkumar Road in Rajajinagar.
Details of the Fatal Collision
According to police reports, Yogeshwari had stepped out from her workplace at a private bank to purchase food from a nearby eatery located opposite the bank. As she was crossing the road with her food packet, she was hit by a high-speed Bullet motorcycle ridden by Deepak, a student from Ulsoor. The impact of the collision resulted in severe head injuries for both individuals.
Emergency services rushed Yogeshwari and Deepak to a nearby private hospital for immediate medical attention. Despite efforts to save her, Yogeshwari succumbed to her injuries around 9 pm on the same day. Deepak remains hospitalized and is currently undergoing treatment for his injuries.
Legal Actions and Police Investigation
In response to the incident, the police have registered a case of causing death by negligence against Deepak. Authorities stated that his official statement will be recorded once he recovers sufficiently from his injuries. The investigation is ongoing to determine the exact circumstances and speed involved in the accident.
