The deceased have been identified as Yeshwanth S, aged 24, and Kiran Devaramuni, aged 25, while the injured rider is Gautham K, aged 28. Police reports confirm that none of the riders were wearing helmets at the time of the crash, a factor that significantly contributed to the severity of the injuries.
According to authorities, Yeshwanth had bought the motorcycle just a week prior to the accident. The trio was en route to a dhaba for a late-night meal around 12:50 am. After descending the ramp of the Veer Savarkar flyover, Yeshwanth attempted to jump a speed breaker at an excessively high speed. He traveled approximately 100 meters before losing control, hitting the footpath, and ultimately colliding with a tree.

Quoting Gautham, a senior police officer stated that Yeshwanth was speeding at over 130 kmph at the moment of the crash. The impact was catastrophic: Kiran, who was seated in the middle, and Yeshwanth both sustained severe head injuries upon hitting the tree. Kiran died instantly at the scene, while Yeshwanth succumbed to his injuries while being transported to the hospital. Gautham, though injured, is reported to be out of danger and recovering.
