Bengaluru Girl Death: Mother, Boyfriend Booked for Murder

BENGALURU: In a significant development, Bengaluru police have launched a reinvestigation into the mysterious death of a six-year-old girl that occurred three months ago and have now registered a murder case against the victim's mother and her boyfriend. The incident took place in Seegehalli, Kadugodi, on March 24, when P Vennela, the second daughter of Praveen and Priyanka, died under suspicious circumstances.

Initial Account and Doubts

Initially, Priyanka had informed her husband Praveen that Vennela had consumed biryani and ice cream, after which she was made to sleep inside the car with the air conditioning on, leading to her death. Praveen, who runs the Cloud9 school in Davanagere district of Karnataka, and Priyanka, an advocate, were the parents. However, Praveen grew suspicious and sent the medical and autopsy reports to his elder sister abroad for a second opinion.

Doctor Raises Concerns

A doctor who reviewed the reports expressed doubts about the cause of death, prompting Praveen to file a complaint with the Kadugodi police. In his complaint, Praveen alleged that Priyanka and her boyfriend, G Mohan, a college mate and realtor, had kicked Vennela in the stomach and smothered her to death.
