In a grim discovery, the Bhojpur police recovered the body of a 40-year-old private security guard from a canal on Friday, raising serious suspicions of murder. The deceased, identified as Ajay Yadav, had been missing since Thursday evening, and his body was found with stab wounds, indicating foul play with a sharp-edged weapon.

Police Investigation and Recovery Details

The police were alerted on Friday about a body lying in the Mangraon canal, located under the Charpokhari police station area of Bhojpur district. Upon receiving the information, officers immediately rushed to the spot and retrieved the body from the water.

Krishna Kumar Singh, the Piro Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), provided details of the case. "The deceased was identified as security guard Ajay Yadav, son of Bindeshwari Yadav, a resident of Kondihri village," he stated. "During the initial investigation, we found a wound on the left hand of the body, prompting us to call in a technical team to collect evidence."

Autopsy and Family Account

The body was subsequently sent to Sadar Hospital in Ara for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death and gather further forensic clues. Family members of Ajay Yadav revealed that he had left home on his motorcycle on Thursday evening but failed to return as the night progressed, sparking concerns that led to the police report.
