Bihar Migrant Robbed and Assaulted in Gurgaon Autorickshaw Incident
In a distressing incident in Gurgaon, a man from Bihar, who had traveled to the city seeking employment, fell victim to a brutal robbery after accepting a lift in an autorickshaw. The assault occurred late on Wednesday night in the Farrukhnagar area, as confirmed by local police authorities.
Details of the Assault and Robbery
The victim, identified as Shlok Raj, aged 35, had just arrived at Tajnagar railway station and was making his way towards the Jamalpur stand when he boarded an autorickshaw. Unbeknownst to him, four men were already inside the vehicle. According to his official complaint, shortly after the journey began, the group launched a violent attack on him.
During the assault, the perpetrators forcibly seized his mobile phone and cash. They further compelled him to reveal his UPI PIN, enabling them to transfer Rs 11,000 from his bank account. In addition to the financial theft, the assailants took Rs 700 in cash, his clothing, and other personal belongings.
Police Response and Investigation
After committing the robbery, the accused pushed Shlok out of the autorickshaw at a deserted location and fled the scene. The victim managed to reach a nearby area and subsequently approached the Farrukhnagar police station to file a formal complaint.
Police have registered a case under Section 309(6) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which pertains to attempt to commit robbery and voluntarily causing hurt. An officer stated that teams have been formed to identify and trace the accused.
Investigators are actively scanning CCTV footage from key locations, including:

- Various routes in Farrukhnagar
