Further investigation revealed a carefully concealed compartment within the photo booth's structure. When customs officers broke open the base of the equipment, they discovered eight airtight packets containing the hydroponic ganja cleverly hidden in a false bottom compartment.
Fisherman Duped into Illegal Trade
During intensive interrogation, the arrested individual disclosed that he had been lured into this illegal activity under false pretenses. A friend's acquaintance had approached him with an offer of 15,000 rupees to transport what was described as a simple photo booth used for creating selfie videos from Bangkok to Chennai.
The young fisherman explained that he was completely unaware of the concealed narcotics and believed he was merely helping transport legitimate photographic equipment. The handover of the compromised photo booth occurred near the Bangkok airport shortly before his departure.
