Police confirmed that the scooty involved in the accident is registered in the name of Saad's father.

According to police records, a PCR call was received at the New Friends Colony police station around midnight on February 13 regarding an unconscious person lying on the Sarita Vihar-bound carriageway near the flyover. As police personnel rushed to the location, they encountered significant traffic congestion and received multiple calls from concerned passersby reporting a serious accident.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the accident occurred between 12am and 1am on the intervening night of February 12 and 13. A scooty bearing a Delhi registration number was allegedly struck by a truck with a Rajasthan number plate that was heading towards Badarpur. The truck, which was loaded with grocery items, was travelling from Badli to Nagpur at the time of the tragic incident. Police officials noted that no cleaner or helper was present in the vehicle during the collision.

The accused truck driver, identified as Jahul, 32, a resident of Nuh in Haryana, has been detained by authorities. He has reportedly been working for the truck owner, named Rashid, for the past two years. The driver has claimed that he possesses a valid driving licence and that the vehicle is properly insured; however, both documents are currently under verification by investigating officers.
