During the pursuit, Kumar inadvertently stepped onto the railway tracks. Tragically, he was struck and run over by the 15035 Uttaranchal Sampark Kranti Express, a daily service operating from Old Delhi to Kathgodam. The incident occurred around 4:53 PM, when authorities received a PCR call alerting them to the emergency.
