Dismembered Torso Found in Suitcase at Chennai Station

The Government Railway Police (GRP) in Chennai have initiated a murder investigation following the discovery of an unidentified male torso inside a suitcase near platform number 4 at Perambur railway station on Friday morning. The victim's identity and the circumstances surrounding the crime remain unknown.

According to police reports, passersby noticed a blue suitcase abandoned near a staircase leading to platform number 4 around 7:15 AM. A foul odor emanating from the suitcase prompted them to alert the railway authorities.

A police team led by Special Sub-Inspector Markabandu arrived at the scene, retrieved the suitcase, and found the torso of a man inside. Investigators noted that the body had been mutilated, with the head, arms, and legs missing. Preliminary inquiries revealed no significant blood leakage from the suitcase, leading police to suspect that the body was dismembered elsewhere before being transported and left at the railway station.
