Police Arrest Double Murder Accused Following Late-Night Encounter in Lucknow Village
In a dramatic late-night operation, Lucknow police have arrested the prime accused in the horrific double murder case that shook Sisendi village in Mohanlalganj on March 9. The arrest came after an intense encounter that resulted in injuries to both the accused and a police constable.
Violent Confrontation Leads to Arrest
According to DCP South Nipun Agarwal, a specialized police team led by the Mohanlalganj station house officer, supported by surveillance and field units, successfully intercepted the accused, identified as Kishan Rawat (35), a resident of Sisendi village. As officers closed in to apprehend him, Rawat allegedly opened fire in a desperate attempt to escape.
"During the exchange of fire, a police constable sustained injuries," confirmed DCP Agarwal. "Police personnel retaliated in self-defence, resulting in the accused suffering a bullet wound to his leg. He was subsequently overpowered and taken into custody."
The injured accused was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment under police supervision.

The operation attracted the attention of senior police officials who rushed to the scene to oversee proceedings. Additional DCP Rallapalli Vasanth Kumar and ACP Vikas Pandey personally monitored the situation, ensuring proper protocol was followed during the sensitive arrest operation.

Police investigations have revealed disturbing details about the March 9 incident. Kishan Rawat stands accused of the brutal murder of a woman and her partially blind son in Sisendi village. The investigation took a more sinister turn when post-mortem reports indicated injuries to the woman's private parts, suggesting sexual assault prior to her death.
CCTV footage analysis confirmed that Rawat had visited the woman's residence just hours before the murders occurred, providing crucial evidence linking him to the crime scene.

According to official statements, Rawat had allegedly lent money to the woman and had been persistently demanding repayment.
