After killing the elderly woman, the attackers inflicted severe injuries on both her legs with a sharp weapon before fleeing with her valuable ornaments. The stolen items included silver anklets, gold earrings, and a nose ring, among other jewellery pieces.

Family members revealed that Kamla Devi typically wore multiple gold and silver ornaments whenever she went out to graze her goats. Her grandson provided detailed information to the police, stating that the assailants looted a silver chain weighing approximately 25 grams, a gold amulet, gold earrings, and a nose ring from the victim.

The body was discovered by villagers passing through the forest, who immediately alerted the authorities. Upon receiving the information, Baunli police personnel rushed to the spot and initiated a comprehensive investigation into the murder.

Community Outrage and Police Response

The brutal murder sparked significant anger and outrage among villagers, with residents blocking the main road in protest. They demanded the immediate arrest of those responsible for this heinous crime.
