Faridabad Gang Rape: Woman Assaulted in Moving Van, Two Arrested
Faridabad: Woman gang-raped in moving car, two held

In a horrific incident that has sent shockwaves through Faridabad, a 25-year-old married woman was allegedly subjected to a brutal gang rape inside a moving vehicle for several hours before being thrown onto the road with severe injuries. The Faridabad police have arrested two individuals in connection with the crime, which occurred on the night of Monday, December 29, 2025.

The Night of the Assault

The victim, who was staying at her parents' home in Faridabad due to marital discord, had visited a friend's house in Sector 23 on Monday evening. According to the police complaint filed by the woman's sister, the victim was waiting for transport late at night to return home when two men offered her a lift in their van.

Instead of taking her to her intended destination, the accused drove the vehicle towards Gurugram. It was inside this moving van that the woman was allegedly gang-raped by the duo. The ordeal continued for hours as she was driven around through the night.

Brutal Abandonment and Arrests

The nightmare culminated around 3 am on Tuesday near Raja Chowk, where the perpetrators threw the injured woman out of the moving vehicle onto the road. She sustained serious head injuries in the process.

In a desperate bid for help, the traumatized woman managed to call her sister. Her sister immediately rushed to the spot and took her to a hospital for urgent medical treatment and examination.

Acting swiftly on the complaint, the Faridabad police launched an investigation and succeeded in apprehending the two accused. The arrested individuals hail from Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh but were currently residing in Faridabad. A police spokesperson confirmed the arrests and stated that the accused are being interrogated.

Ongoing Investigation and Next Steps

The police have registered a case and a probe is underway to uncover all details of the crime. Authorities have indicated that a test identification parade (TIP) of the accused will be conducted soon as part of the legal process to strengthen the case.

This incident has once again highlighted concerns about the safety of women, especially during night hours, and the perils of accepting lifts from strangers. It adds to the grim statistics of crimes against women in the National Capital Region (NCR).

The Faridabad police have assured that the investigation is being pursued rigorously to ensure justice is delivered. The condition of the survivor is being monitored as she recovers from the physical and psychological trauma inflicted upon her.
