Deoria Police File FIR in Sanskrit College Appointment Fraud Case, Accused Flee
In a significant development in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, the police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against a former manager, a current manager, and three teachers of Shri Sarwar Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya in Kishoreganj. The case revolves around alleged fraudulent appointments made at the institution, which have sparked controversy and legal action.
Accused Flee After FIR Lodged
Soon after the FIR was lodged late on Saturday night, all the accused individuals reportedly fled their homes, creating a stir in the local community. This swift reaction has heightened tensions and drawn attention to the seriousness of the allegations. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter, focusing on the illegal appointment of three teachers at the Sanskrit college.
Background of the Case
The case stems from a written complaint submitted by assistant district inspector of schools (ADIOS) Nilesh Kumar Pandey. According to the FIR, in 2007, the then-manager of the college, Setvan alias Setbandhu Tiwari, a resident of Gayatripuram on Kasya Road under the Sadar Kotwali area, appointed Satendra Tiwari, Yogeshwar Nath Tiwari, and Dinavati Tripathi as teachers. These appointments were made without obtaining mandatory approval from the competent authority, violating prescribed rules and procedures.
Departmental Inquiry Reveals Conflicting Claims
During a departmental inquiry, conflicting claims emerged between the former and current managers. The former manager blamed the current manager, Manoj Kumar Srivastava, for the alleged fake appointments, while Srivastava shifted the responsibility back to his predecessor. These contradictory statements raised suspicions and complicated the investigation.
Failure to Produce Documents
Three days ago, the additional DIOS visited Shri Sarwar Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya to verify appointment records. However, the current management failed to produce any documents related to the recruitment of the three teachers. Finding the explanation unsatisfactory and the documents missing, the ADIOS approached the police and submitted a formal complaint seeking criminal action.
Legal Charges and Police Action
Taking the complaint seriously, police registered an FIR against the former manager Setvan alias Setbandhu Tiwari, the current manager Manoj Kumar Srivastava, and the three teachers: Satendra Tiwari, Yogeshwar Nath Tiwari, and Dinavati Tripathi. The accused have been booked under sections related to cheating, forgery, criminal conspiracy, and preparation of forged documents.
Kotwali in-charge Mahendra Kumar Chaturvedi stated that the dates of occurrence were mentioned as December 27, 2006, and May 7, 2007, highlighting the timeline of the alleged fraudulent activities. The police are now actively pursuing the investigation to bring the accused to justice and ensure accountability in the educational institution.
