A shocking crime has rattled the upscale Phase 11 residential area of Mohali, where the wife of a former senior Punjab law officer was found brutally murdered in her home. The victim, identified as 70-year-old Satnam Kaur, was the wife of former Punjab Additional Advocate General (AAG) Gurdial Singh. The incident, which involved a violent robbery, was discovered on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 23.

According to police reports, the grim discovery was made around 3:30 PM. Satnam Kaur was found lying dead on the floor of her bedroom in the upscale house located in Sector 66. Preliminary investigation and a post-mortem examination confirmed the cause of death as manual strangulation. The assailants did not use any weapon, indicating a violent physical assault.
The crime scene painted a picture of a thorough and aggressive robbery. The entire house was completely ransacked. Police officials stated that cupboards and drawers in multiple rooms were forced open and their contents strewn about.
