A case has been registered against four men in Pilibhit district for the alleged abduction and gang rape of a 19-year-old woman. The incident came to light on Thursday when the survivor's mother filed a complaint at a local police station.
Details of the Incident
According to the complaint, the woman was taken from her home on May 16 while her parents were attending a religious ceremony in another village. The accused allegedly held her captive in a room and gang-raped her for three consecutive days. After the ordeal, one of the men reportedly dropped her back at her residence.
Police Investigation
The police have sent the survivor for a medical examination and have launched a search operation to apprehend the suspects. The accused are all in their 20s and have been identified as residents of neighboring areas.
A local Station House Officer (SHO) stated that three of the accused are biological brothers from Shahjahanpur district, while the fourth belongs to the Bisalpur area. The SHO further revealed that one of the accused had relatives in the woman's village and had come into contact with her about a year ago.
Legal Action
The FIR has been filed under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Section 87 (abduction), Section 70(1) (gang rape), and Section 127(3) (wrongful confinement for three days or more). All accused are currently absconding.
Authorities are working to track down the suspects and ensure justice for the survivor. Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
