In a shocking incident that disrupted a joyous occasion, violence broke out at a wedding in Ambagam village of Aravalli taluka, Gujarat, late on Saturday night. The conflict centered around the hiring of a DJ for the celebration, leading to chaos as stones were hurled at the wedding procession, forcing guests to flee for safety.

The wedding procession, locally known as varghodo, was for Mayank Khant, the son of prominent local businessman Rajesh Kanti Khant. The event was proceeding near the Ambe Mataji temple in Patel Faliya when the violence erupted. According to the official complaint filed by Rajesh Khant, the DJ had been arranged from the Jay Harsiddhi agency for the festivities.
The confrontation began when a group of men strongly objected to an "outside DJ" being brought into the village. Without any prior warning, the accused individuals tore down the DJ's promotional banner and initiated a barrage of stone-pelting directly at the wedding procession. This sudden and aggressive attack caused immediate panic among the attendees.
Injuries and Damage Sustained
The violent assault resulted in significant physical injuries and property damage. Two individuals, identified as Rahul Khant and Akash Khant, suffered severe head injuries during the stone-pelting and collapsed on the spot. Additionally, the decorative lighting that had been installed behind the music system was extensively damaged in the melee.
As fear rapidly spread through the gathering, wedding guests dispersed in all directions, desperately seeking cover from the ongoing violence. Emergency services were promptly alerted, and an ambulance was dispatched to the scene. The injured parties were urgently transported to Vatrak Hospital for immediate medical treatment and further evaluation.

In his formal complaint, Rajesh Khant further alleged that the attackers used highly abusive and threatening language during the incident.
