Gurgaon Child Abduction Case: Three Accused Still Evade Police Capture

In a disturbing development from Gurgaon, three individuals implicated in the horrific abduction, torture, and wrongful confinement of five young boys for over fifteen hours remain at large. Police authorities confirmed on Thursday that while two of the accused were apprehended on Wednesday, intensive raids are ongoing to locate and arrest the remaining three suspects involved in this brutal incident.

Details of the Abduction and Assault

The terrifying ordeal began on Monday morning in the DLF Phase 3 area of Gurgaon. The five accused men allegedly abducted the boys, aged between 10 and 13 years, from an under-construction building. The perpetrators suspected the children of stealing iron rods and other construction materials from the site. They forcibly took the victims to a nearby paying guest accommodation, which was operated by an associate of the group.

According to police reports, the boys were subjected to severe physical and sexual assault. The complaint filed by the mother of one victim detailed that the children were stripped, beaten, and sexually assaulted. In a particularly cruel act, the accused poured petrol on the children's private parts and inflicted burns using hot spoons, causing immense trauma.

Mothers' Intervention and Police Action

The children were eventually released late on Monday night after three mothers tracked them down and pleaded with the suspects for nearly five hours. Shockingly, the suspects allegedly forced these women to sit with the children and verbally abused them during this harrowing confrontation.

On Tuesday, one of the mothers approached the Nathupur police post to file an official complaint. Subsequently, police registered a First Information Report (FIR) at the DLF Phase 3 police station against all five suspects. The charges include serious offenses under Section 10 (aggravated sexual assault) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), along with multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita pertaining to voluntarily causing hurt, wrongful confinement, negligent conduct with combustible matter, common intention, and criminal intimidation by threatening death or grievous hurt.

Arrests and Investigation Progress

The two arrested individuals have been identified as Harendra, a 35-year-old Gurgaon resident who operates a flour mill and is involved in rental property work, and Firoz, a 26-year-old native of Uttar Pradesh who owns a utensil shop in the city. During police interrogation, the accused revealed that they frequently gathered near the construction site to smoke hookah and had discussed repeated thefts of building materials.

Police disclosed that one of the arrested men was supervising work at the building, which was being developed as a paying guest facility, while others were present as workers or associates. Medical examinations of the traumatized children have been completed, and their statements are currently being recorded as part of the ongoing investigation.

Ongoing Police Efforts

Law enforcement agencies are actively pursuing the remaining three suspects. Police teams are meticulously scanning CCTV footage from surrounding areas and questioning local residents to gather crucial leads. The investigation aims to swiftly identify and apprehend all individuals involved in this appalling crime, ensuring justice for the young victims and their families.

The case has highlighted serious concerns about child safety and the need for vigilant community policing in urban areas like Gurgaon. Authorities continue to urge anyone with information about the fugitives to come forward and assist in the investigation.
