The bullet struck the bulletproof jacket worn by Assistant Sub-Inspector Manmohan, who was part of the team, but he escaped unhurt due to the protective gear.

Sandeep Kumar, the Gurgaon police spokesperson, confirmed the details, stating, "Vinay suddenly pulled out the concealed weapon and fired at the police team. An FIR has been registered against Vinay under BNS Section 109 for attempt to murder and relevant sections of the Arms Act. In a separate but related development, accused Bobby was taken to Bhondsi during the operation, where he attempted to escape from police custody. Both injured accused, Vinay and Bobby, were admitted to a local hospital by the police team and are currently undergoing treatment under guard.
