Gurugram Police Demolish Illegal Structures Linked to Land Mafia

In a decisive crackdown on land mafia and drug traffickers, the Gurugram police, in coordination with the district administration, demolished illegal constructions at five locations in village Dhankot on Tuesday. The operation, carried out by the Crime Branch Palam Vihar, targeted properties linked to habitual offenders.

Key Criminals Identified

During the action, authorities identified two notorious criminals: Narender alias Pavva and Sunny alias Dogra, both residents of village Dhanwapur in Gurugram district. Pavva has a total of 12 criminal cases registered against him, including serious offences such as attempt to murder, assault, dacoity, and violations under the Arms Act. Similarly, Dogra faces 13 criminal cases for attempt to murder, assault, dacoity, and other grave crimes.

Illegal Structures Demolished

Investigations revealed that the accused had illegally constructed a borewell and a residential structure near the Dhankot canal. After completing all necessary administrative procedures, the illegal constructions were demolished under strict police supervision. The demolition took place on July 6, 2025, with law and order maintained throughout the operation.

A spokesperson for the Gurugram police stated, "Gurugram Police remains fully committed to protecting public land, maintaining law and order, and dismantling the illegal economic networks of criminals. Police have made it clear that such intelligence-based strict campaigns against properties acquired through criminal activities and illegal encroachments will continue in the future to make Gurugram crime-free and secure."

The operation underscores the police's ongoing efforts to curb illegal activities and reclaim encroached public property, sending a strong message to land mafias and drug traffickers operating in the region.
