Haryana Police Crack Blind Murder Case in Record Time, DGP Announces Cash Reward
In a swift and commendable operation, the Hansi police in Haryana have successfully solved the murder of a property dealer within just 48 hours, leading to the arrest of the main accused. Haryana Director General of Police (DGP) Ajay Singhal has lauded the police team for their exemplary work, announcing a cash reward of Rs 50,000 and a commendation certificate for their efforts in cracking this blind murder case through a scientific and evidence-based investigation.
Details of the Crime and Investigation
The incident unfolded on February 3, when property dealer Subhash Chand was found dead at his office in Sector 6, under the jurisdiction of the City Police Station in Sirsa. Superintendent of Police Amit Yashvardhan stated that initially, there were no clear clues at the scene, making the case particularly challenging.
Immediately after the discovery, teams from the city police station, crime branch, and scene of crime unit rushed to the location to collect forensic evidence. Based on statements from the family, a formal case was registered, and 15 specialized police teams were swiftly formed to track down the perpetrators.
Arrest and Ongoing Efforts
On Thursday night, the police managed to apprehend the main accused, identified as Gurmeet. During the arrest, Gurmeet attempted to flee upon seeing the police but was injured in the process. He is currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital in Sirsa. Authorities have indicated that more suspects may be involved in the murder, and intensive efforts are underway to locate and arrest them.
Motive and Further Investigation
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the crime was meticulously planned as a robbery. The accused allegedly targeted Subhash Chand for his gold jewellery and used Gurmeet's motorcycle during the commission of the crime. The police have emphasized that further investigation is ongoing to uncover all aspects of this heinous act and ensure justice is served.
