Indore Police Investigate Two Separate Assault Cases Stemming from Road Disputes
In a concerning series of events, the city of Indore has witnessed two separate assault incidents, both triggered by disputes on the road. The Aerodrome and Lasudia police stations have registered cases and launched investigations into these violent altercations that left victims with injuries.
Assault After Refusal to Drive Vehicle in Aerodrome Area
A 22-year-old man, identified as Vishal Tripathi, a resident of Govind Colony, was allegedly assaulted in the Aerodrome area after he refused to drive another person's vehicle. According to his complaint filed with the Aerodrome police, the dispute began when Gulshan Pathak of Gauri Nagar questioned him for declining to operate his vehicle.
The situation quickly escalated as Pathak started abusing Tripathi verbally before physically assaulting him during the ensuing scuffle. The attack resulted in Tripathi sustaining a significant eye injury, prompting immediate concern from bystanders who witnessed the incident.
Thankfully, the intervention of these bystanders proved crucial, as they rushed the injured Tripathi to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Based on the detailed complaint provided by Tripathi, the Aerodrome police have officially registered a case against Gulshan Pathak and are pursuing the investigation to bring the perpetrator to justice.
Car Driver Attacked Following Minor Collision in Lasudia
In a separate but similarly distressing incident, a car driver was violently attacked after a minor collision sparked a heated argument in the Lasudia area. The incident occurred in Scheme No. 78, where complainant Deepak Soni of Brahmpuri Colony was driving an Ola car.
Soni reported to the police that his vehicle brushed against a pedestrian on the road, which led to an immediate and aggressive response. The pedestrian allegedly began abusing him, and when Soni objected, the pedestrian's associate joined in, resulting in both individuals assaulting him.
The altercation took a dangerous turn when one of the accused allegedly pulled out a sharp object and attacked Soni, leaving him bleeding from his injuries. Before fleeing the spot, the attackers also threatened to kill Soni, adding a layer of intimidation to the physical violence.
Police have registered a case based on Soni's complaint and have initiated a thorough investigation into the incident. Authorities are working to identify and apprehend the assailants to prevent further such occurrences and ensure public safety on Indore's roads.
