A horrific crime has shaken the city of Indore, where a 30-year-old woman was allegedly raped and murdered by her live-in partner on Friday night. The brutal incident occurred at a secluded plot in the Pardeshipura area, driven by the accused's suspicion of infidelity.
Details of the Gruesome Attack
The victim was found in a semi-naked state, bleeding heavily, at the Sugni Devi ground on Saturday morning. She was immediately rushed to MY Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries during treatment late in the evening. Doctors reported severe head injuries, which proved fatal.
According to DCP Kumar Pratik, the accused took the woman to the ground, where he sexually assaulted her and then attacked her with a brick. The police received information about an injured woman lying at the location, prompting a team from Pardeshipura police station to respond swiftly and shift her to the hospital.
Police Investigation and Arrest
Multiple police teams were formed to track down the accused, identified as Kao, who was arrested soon after the incident. During interrogation, Kao confessed to the crime, revealing that the woman had been living with him for the past few months. He admitted to planning her murder due to suspicions of infidelity, driven by jealousy as he believed she was also involved with another man.
Police investigations further revealed that the victim had two cases of violence registered against her at different police stations and was linked to individuals addicted to intoxicants. The body has been sent for a postmortem examination, and the accused has been formally booked for murder.
