IRB Jawan Dies in Tragic SUV Accident in Chatra

A young jawan serving with the India Reserve Battalion lost his life in a devastating road accident late on Sunday. The tragic incident occurred in the Bariatu area under the jurisdiction of Giddhaur police station. Three other individuals sustained injuries during the crash.

Details of the Fatal Collision

An SUV carrying the victims was returning to Chatra from the Balbal animal fair when the accident happened. According to eyewitness accounts, one of the vehicle's tires suddenly burst as it approached Bariatu village. This unexpected tire failure caused the driver to lose complete control of the moving vehicle.

The out-of-control SUV first crashed into a roadside tree with tremendous force. It then rammed directly into the veranda of a local shop. The impact proved so severe that it badly damaged an iron seat placed outside the shop. This shop belongs to a local resident named Baijnath Yadav.

Victim Identified and Aftermath

Police identified the deceased jawan as 26-year-old Anil Kumar. He was a resident of Pandeypura in Karni village, which falls under the Hunterganj police station area. Kumar had been performing security duty at the ten-day Balbal animal fair before the accident occurred.

"He was on security duty at the 10-day animal fair in Balbal," confirmed Giddhaur OC Shiva Yadav. "After completing his duty, he was returning to Chatra in the SUV."

In a disturbing development, three persons including the driver fled from the accident scene after the crash. All three had sustained injuries in the collision. They abandoned the vehicle and disappeared before authorities could arrive.

Police Investigation Underway

Giddhaur police responded quickly to the incident. Officers reached the spot and initiated a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash. The damaged SUV was seized by authorities as part of their investigation.

Police took the jawan's body into their custody and sent it for post-mortem examination. This procedure will help determine the exact cause of death and document injuries sustained in the accident.

"An inquiry is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the accident," stated OC Shiva Yadav. "We are working to identify and trace the people who fled from the scene. Appropriate action will be taken based on the findings of our investigation."

The police official confirmed both the incident and the identity of the deceased jawan. The investigation continues as authorities piece together the sequence of events that led to this tragic loss of life.
