The suspension specifically covers all generations of mobile internet services, including 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G, within a 6-kilometer radius encompassing the Singhpora, Chingam, and Chatroo belts in Kishtwar. This restriction is set to remain in effect until 12 AM on January 30.
Fresh Counter-Terrorism Operation in Poonch District
Simultaneously, security forces have launched a fresh counter-terrorism operation in the Pajja Morh, Nabana Top, and adjoining areas of Surankote in Poonch district. This action was initiated following credible intelligence inputs regarding the presence of two suspected terrorists in the region. As of the latest reports, officials have confirmed that no contact has yet been established with the suspects, and the operation remains ongoing, with security personnel maintaining a high state of alert.

The ongoing Operation Trashi-I has witnessed several critical engagements between security forces and terrorists since its inception:
- January 18: The first fire exchange occurred in Sonnar village near Mandral-Singhpora, resulting in injuries to eight security personnel. Tragically, one of these brave individuals later succumbed to their injuries.
- January 22: Another intense gunfight erupted with holed-up terrorists in the Singhpora area, highlighting the persistent threat in the region.
- January 24: A subsequent firefight led to the elimination of a Pakistani Jaish terrorist, marking a significant success in the ongoing operation.
