The incident came to light on Thursday evening, revealing a sequence of events that began with what was described as light-hearted banter. According to information shared by the husband, the woman, identified as Tannu Singh, took the extreme step after her husband Rahul Srivastava allegedly called her a "monkey" during a moment of joking. This remark reportedly left her emotionally distressed and triggered the tragic outcome.

During what was intended as playful banter, Rahul, along with Anjali, allegedly mocked Tannu and referred to her using the derogatory term. The remark reportedly hurt Tannu deeply, following which she left the room without uttering a word.
Rahul then stepped out briefly to bring food. Upon returning, he asked Anjali to call Tannu. When Anjali went to the room, she discovered it was locked from inside. Despite repeated calls, there was no response from within. Peering through a window, Anjali made the horrifying discovery of Tannu hanging from the ceiling.
Immediate Response and Medical Attention
Shocked by the sight, Anjali screamed for help. Hearing her cries, Rahul and neighbours rushed to the spot. With assistance from locals, Tannu was carefully taken down from the noose and rushed to Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. Tragically, doctors declared her dead on arrival, confirming the devastating outcome of the incident.
