Ludhiana Photographer and Wife Face Serious Charges After Violent Confrontation Over Pet Waste

Sarabha Nagar police in Ludhiana have registered a formal case against a photographer, his wife, and their associate following allegations of a brutal assault on a 69-year-old man. The incident, which escalated from a dispute over dog waste, reportedly involved physical violence and threats with a firearm outside the victim's residence.

Argument Over Canine Waste Sparks Violent Altercation

The confrontation unfolded in Aadarsh Colony, Barewal, when the elderly complainant, who has requested anonymity, objected to the accused woman's dog defecating and urinating near his home. According to the police complaint, the incident occurred on February 2, while the victim was alone at home as his son was hospitalized and other family members were attending to him.

The complainant stated that he stepped outside his house for some work and noticed Aman Kaur standing with her pet dog. When he raised concerns about the animal soiling the area, a heated argument erupted between them. The situation quickly deteriorated when Kaur allegedly called her husband, Shanudeep Singh, to the scene.

Alleged Assault with Iron Rod and Firearm Threats

Minutes later, as the elderly man was leaving for his work, the accused intercepted him. The complaint details that he was attacked with an iron rod and threatened with a gun by the accused individuals. The victim reported that the family could not immediately approach law enforcement due to his son's hospitalization, delaying the formal complaint until after his discharge.

Police Investigation and Legal Charges

ASI Ajitpal Singh, the investigating officer at Sarabha Nagar police station, confirmed that authorities have booked three individuals: Shanudeep Singh and his wife Aman Kaur, both residents of Dhandra Market on Barewal Road, along with their aide Varinder Singh of Sarabha Nagar.
