Arrest Made Following Tip-Off in Mango Orchard
The accused, identified as Arjun Paswan, a resident of Rampura ward number 11, was arrested on Friday. Acting on a credible tip-off, police located Paswan hiding in a mango orchard near Rampur Dam. During the operation, authorities recovered a pistol and ten live cartridges from his possession.

"Arjun Paswan admitted during questioning that he and his associates targeted Vijay Gupta while the property dealer was inspecting a land parcel. The driver was fatally shot when he attempted to raise an alarm during the attack," explained DSP Sanjay Kumar.
Investigation Progress and Previous Arrests
Police confirmed that one accomplice managed to escape during the raid that led to Paswan's arrest. A separate First Information Report (FIR) has been registered in connection with the case.
"To date, four individuals including Sudhir Madhan have been arrested and subsequently sent to jail in relation to this case, which is registered at Kalyanpur police station," DSP Kumar added on Saturday.
