Bokaro Police Apprehend Suspect in Fatal Railway Station Shooting

In a significant development, police in Bokaro have made an arrest in connection with a brutal murder that occurred near the Bokaro railway station last month. The authorities have taken Balram Kumar, also known as Bholu Vishwakarma, into custody for the killing of 28-year-old Sachin Yadav.

Details of the Fatal Incident

The tragic event unfolded on the evening of February 22, when Sachin Yadav was shot near the Bokaro railway station at approximately 7:00 PM. He was immediately rushed to the Bokaro General Hospital for emergency medical treatment. However, doctors declared him dead upon arrival, confirming the severity of the gunshot wounds.

Police Investigation and Arrest

Following the incident, a formal complaint was lodged by the victim's younger brother, Mithilesh Kumar. Based on this complaint, the rail police station registered a case under relevant sections of the BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita) and the Arms Act. Shankar Prasad, the officer-in-charge of the GRP Police Station at Bokaro Railway Station, provided details of the investigation.

Police swiftly identified and arrested Balram Kumar alias Bholu Vishwakarma, a 26-year-old resident of Railway Gol Market in Balidih. During interrogation, the accused confessed to the murder, revealing that it stemmed from an argument linked to a previous assault on his brother-in-law, Dhananjay Karmakar.

Motivation Behind the Crime

According to police statements, the confrontation that led to Yadav's death was directly connected to an earlier violent incident involving Dhananjay Karmakar. The accused admitted that the dispute escalated, resulting in the fatal shooting. This revelation highlights how personal conflicts can tragically escalate into violent crimes.
