A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Chatra district where a 32-year-old man was discovered hanging from a tree in a forest area on Thursday. The deceased, identified as Vikas Bharti, resided in Guriya village under the jurisdiction of Pratappur police station.

Family Dispute Preceded Tragedy

According to family members, Vikas had been experiencing significant domestic tension that had persisted for three consecutive days. His sister-in-law, Asha Devi, revealed that Vikas left his home quietly around midnight on Wednesday without informing anyone about his intentions.

"The family had no idea that he would take such an extreme step," Asha Devi stated, emphasizing the sudden nature of the tragedy.

Police Investigation and Response

The grim discovery was made by local villagers who were walking through Sidki forest near the village. Upon spotting Vikas hanging from a tree, they immediately alerted both the family and local authorities.

Alok Ranjan Chaudhary, the officer in-charge of Pratappur police station, confirmed that the body has been sent to Chatra Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination.
