Minor Girl Found Dead in West Champaran Village, Family Alleges Murder

A tragic incident has shaken the Rakhai village under the Shikarpur police station area of West Champaran district, where a minor girl was discovered dead under highly suspicious circumstances on Friday. The discovery has triggered serious allegations of murder from the grieving family, contradicting initial police reports of suicide.

Police Register Case Under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita

Based on a formal written complaint, Shikarpur police have taken swift action by registering a comprehensive case under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The case names 11 specific accused individuals alongside approximately 50 unidentified persons. Law enforcement has already made significant progress with the arrest of the main accused, identified as Istekhar Ansari, who has been remanded to judicial custody following his apprehension.

Initial Investigation and Conflicting Narratives

Narkatiaganj SDPO Jay Prakash Singh provided initial details, stating that police received information on Friday suggesting the minor girl had died by suicide in Ward No. 3 of Rakhai village. A specialized team from Shikarpur police station, accompanied by forensic science laboratory (FSL) officials, immediately reached the location to commence a thorough investigation. "Intensive raids are currently underway to apprehend the remaining accused persons, and our investigation is progressing systematically," confirmed the SDPO.

Father's Harrowing Account of Alleged Murder

The victim's father, Izhar Ansari, has filed a detailed complaint presenting a dramatically different version of events. He vehemently asserts that his daughter's death was not a suicide but rather a meticulously staged murder designed to appear as self-harm. According to his account, a group of antisocial elements from the village forcibly brought a minor boy to their residence and pressured him to falsely confess to having contact with the girl.

"When the boy courageously denied these allegations, both he and my innocent daughter were violently dragged from our home, tied up, and subjected to brutal physical assault," alleged the grieving father. "My beloved daughter was beaten to death in this horrific attack. Subsequently, her lifeless body was deliberately hung inside our house to create the false appearance of suicide," he added, painting a disturbing picture of premeditated violence.

Ongoing Police Operations and Community Impact

The case has sent shockwaves through the rural community of West Champaran, with authorities maintaining heightened vigilance. Police officials have emphasized their commitment to pursuing all investigative angles, including forensic analysis and witness testimonies. The involvement of FSL experts indicates a scientific approach to determining the exact circumstances surrounding the minor girl's death.

Local residents have expressed deep concern over the incident, calling for swift justice and thorough investigation. The case highlights ongoing challenges in rural law enforcement and community safety, particularly regarding vulnerable populations. As the investigation continues, authorities face mounting pressure to unravel the truth behind these conflicting narratives and deliver appropriate legal outcomes.
