Tragic Accident Claims Life of 8-Year-Old in Gurgaon
A devastating road accident in Gurgaon has claimed the life of an eight-year-old boy, sending shockwaves through the community. The incident occurred on Friday evening near Bhondsi area when a speeding car, allegedly driven by a minor, struck the child and dragged him for approximately 20 meters before coming to a stop.
The Fateful Evening: How the Tragedy Unfolded
The victim, identified as Yuhan, was standing near a doctor's clinic with his father, Ashwani Kumar, around 7 PM on Friday. Kumar, a resident of Krishan Kunj in Bhondsi, witnessed the horrifying moment when the speeding vehicle hit his son and dragged him several meters along the road.
According to police reports, the young victim was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Gurgaon in critical condition. However, the medical team at the hospital declared him brought dead upon arrival, dashing all hopes of survival.
Aftermath and Police Action
The driver of the vehicle, who also sustained injuries in the incident, was admitted to a hospital for treatment. Passersby at the scene reportedly caught hold of the minor driver and handed him over to the police authorities.
Police officials confirmed that they have seized the car involved in the fatal accident as part of their ongoing investigation. The authorities conducted a postmortem examination on Saturday, following which the body was handed over to Yuhan's grieving family.
