Passersby made a grim discovery around 6 am on Sunday along the Petrol Pump Road stretch in Neyyattinkara. They spotted the lifeless body of a man hanging from a tree. The location was several kilometres away from his place of business. The alarmed locals immediately alerted the police authorities.
The deceased was identified as Dileep Kumar, a 42-year-old resident of Neyyattinkara. He had been operating a mobile phone shop in the town for more than a decade, establishing himself as a familiar face in the local business community.
Family Rejects Suicide Theory, Seeks Answers
While the police's initial investigation pointed towards death by hanging, the family of the deceased has raised serious doubts. Dileep's brother, Ratheesh Kumar, has strongly contested the preliminary findings, describing the circumstances surrounding his brother's death as highly suspicious.
