Speaking to news agency ANI, Makan provided a harrowing account of the events that unfolded on the morning of February 3. According to her statement, Sahil was on his way to work when an SUV, allegedly driven by a minor, veered into the opposite lane at dangerously high speed near Lal Bahadur Shastri College in Dwarka.
"My son was simply going to the office," Makan stated. "The Scorpio driver, along with his sister, was out making fun reels. The excessive speed is clearly visible in the video footage." She described how the SUV performed a dangerous stunt near a bus before colliding violently with Sahil's motorcycle.
The mother further alleged: "There was an e-rickshaw on one side. The Scorpio rammed into my son's bike, then hit a parked car. They didn't even apply brakes during this entire sequence." The multi-vehicle collision also left a taxi driver with serious injuries who required immediate medical attention.

Makan characterized the incident as "criminal activity" rather than a simple accident. "This is not just an accident. My son died due to their fun reel," she asserted. "Some people think they can do anything on the road because their parents are wealthy and influential."
