According to the First Information Report (FIR) lodged at Sadar police station, the victim, identified as Monish Raja Sheikh (21), was allegedly lured to the spot by a phone call from the main accused, Ayan Khan (23), a resident of Mominpura. Monish, originally from WCL Colony in Chandrapur, is currently staying on rent in Taj Nagar while pursuing his studies.
Motive Behind the Violence
Police sources indicate that the attack stemmed from a suspected romantic entanglement. Ayan Khan reportedly suspected his girlfriend of having a romantic affair with Monish, as both are classmates studying at the same college. This suspicion allegedly fueled the violent confrontation, leading to the planned assault.

During the incident, Ayan, accompanied by two accomplices identified as Mubasir and Farhan, confronted Monish and attacked him with a cutter-like weapon. Monish sustained multiple deep cuts on his face and neck, requiring immediate medical attention. He was rushed to a private hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment. Authorities have confirmed that Monish is out of danger, but the injuries are severe and require ongoing care.
