Massive Blaze Erupts in Delhi's Industrial Hub
A devastating fire broke out at a four-storey godown in Delhi's Naraina Industrial Area during the early hours of Tuesday, triggering a massive multi-agency response operation. The incident, which occurred at Multan Paints and Electricals, led to the dramatic collapse of two upper floors and prompted extensive rescue efforts throughout the day.
Timeline of the Emergency
The crisis began when local residents first noticed flames at approximately 2:15 am at the storage facility known for housing paints and thinners. The godown was situated within the local community centre premises, raising immediate safety concerns.
Alert citizens promptly notified the Delhi Fire Services (DFS), while the Naraina police station received an official PCR call about the incident at 2:45 am. When police officers arrived at the scene, they encountered a terrifying sight - the entire building was already engulfed in fierce flames.
Rescue Operations and Missing Person
During the intense firefighting and rescue operation, four individuals were successfully pulled out from the dangerous vicinity and immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Their current condition remains under observation.
Adding to the gravity of the situation, authorities revealed that Rohan, the godown owner and resident of Rajouri Garden, had entered the building approximately half an hour before the police received the emergency call. As of latest reports, Rohan remains untraced, with search teams continuing their efforts to locate him.
Structural Collapse and Ongoing Operations
The situation worsened significantly when the second and third floors of the building collapsed around 7:30 am, several hours after the fire initially broke out. This structural failure complicated rescue efforts and raised concerns about the stability of the remaining structure.
According to DCP (West) Darade Sharad Bhaskar, no casualties have been officially reported so far. However, comprehensive search and rescue operations continue as a precautionary measure.

Police authorities have announced that a case will be registered under Section 287 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which deals with negligent conduct concerning fire or combustible materials.
